비즈니스 이메일 작성 요령
1) 길고 구식인 문장 보다 간결하게 작성하기
According to the investigation, it was revealed that your company had not engaged in an illegal employment practice.
=> The investigation revealed your company had not engaged in an illegal employment practice.
It is with regret that I inform you of the resignation of Peter Rabbit.
=> I regret to inform you of the resignation of Peter Rabbit.
=> I am sorry to inform you that Peter Rabbit will be leaving the company.
There were discussions about who would take the lead in the project.
=> We discussed who would take the lead in the project.
We thank you for taking your precious time for this matter.
=> Thank you for taking your time. (이정도만 해도 감사 표현은 충분)
2) 동사 하나로 문장을 간단히 작성하기
Professional speakers have the ability to communicate their ideas clearly.
=> Professional speakes can communicate their ideas clearly.
Would you give careful consideration to this issue?
=> Would you carefully consider this issue?
3) 상대방의 잘못을 직접 지적하지 않기
I am very dissapointed about your mistake in the company report.
=> There is a mistake in the company report.
It looks like you made an error in next year's budget estimate.
=> There seems to be an error in next year's budget estimate.
You didnt' make your payment on time.
=> The payment was not received on time.
4) 나 보다는 "수신인"의 입장에서 내용 쓰기
We will send your product before the holiday.
=> You will received your product before the holiday.
We will charge you less for shipping than you might expect.
=> You will be pay less for shipping than you might expect.
We offer a 20% discount to those paying in cash.
=> When paying in cash, you will get a 20% discount.
I'm sorry that my report is late.
=> I am sorry to keep you waiting for the report.
